The KAAACI 2026 Organizing Committee supports research by outstanding investigators at all career stages
and offers various awards to encourage scientific activities.

Outstanding Oral / Poster Presentation Awards

Outstanding abstracts will be selected for awards by the Scientific Program Committee of KAAACI 2026. All authors are encouraged to submit their best research for consideration for the awards.

Eligibility

  • Awards will be granted to participants whose abstracts are accepted for oral or poster presentation.
  • All awardees must complete registration prior to the congress.

Notifications

  • The Scientific Committee will evaluate the abstracts before the congress.
  • Awardees will be announced by e-mail before the congress.
  • Awardees will be requested to submit copies of their passport and flight ticket.
  • Failure to submit the required documents or to complete registration prior to the congress may result in the award not being granted.

Tax-related Documents Required for Payment of Travel Grant

Due to the 2026 amendment to the Korean tax law, Travel Grant recipients (non-residents) must submit all required documents listed below to receive tax exemption under the applicable tax treaty; otherwise, the grant will be subject to a 22% withholding tax in accordance with Korean tax regulations.

Please note that
  • Travel Grant awardees will be notified individually in advance via email. Selected applicants are required to submit the necessary documents in accordance with the instructions provided in the notification email.
  • The original Tax Residency Certificate must be brought to the congress venue for on-site submission. Please note that the issuance of this certificate may take approximately 1-3 weeks depending on the country.
  • Even if any of the five required documents listed above are not fully submitted, the Travel Grant may still be paid; however, it will be subject to a withholding tax at a rate of 22% in accordance with Korean tax regulations.
